A plain-language account of what VICAMOS processes, why, who receives it, and the rights available to you.

1. Controller
VICAMOS is the controller for this website, account administration, billing, product operations, security and support. Privacy questions and data subject requests can be sent to kontakt@vicamos.de.
For footage and event data generated on a customer's site, the customer normally determines the purpose of processing and VICAMOS acts as its processor. The customer is responsible for signage, legal basis and necessity of the surveillance.
2. Data we process
- Account data: name, email address, authentication identifiers, organization membership, role and language preference.
- Contract and billing data: agreement, invoices, tax details, payment status and entitlements.
- Footage and event data: recordings, detected events, evaluated rules, executed responses, escalation history, sites and camera identifiers.
- Technical data: IP address, timestamps, access and security logs, device and browser information, diagnostic events.
- Communications: support requests, feedback and other messages you send us.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Providing and operating the platform and performing the contract: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
- System security, abuse prevention and logging: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- Meeting statutory retention and record-keeping obligations: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
- Video surveillance on customer sites: the customer's responsibility; their legal basis and § 4 BDSG govern.
4. Retention
Recordings and event data are stored for the period the customer defines per recording and event type, then deleted automatically. Deletion is enforced by the software.
Account and billing data are kept for the duration of the business relationship and beyond that within statutory retention periods.
5. Recipients and processors
We use service providers for hosting, payment processing, error diagnostics and communication. They are contractually bound as processors under Art. 28 GDPR. A current overview is available on request.
The platform is operated and hosted in Germany. Transfers to third countries occur only where appropriate safeguards under Chapter V GDPR are in place.
6. Your rights
- Access to the data processed about you (Art. 15 GDPR).
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR).
- Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) and restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR).
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).
- Objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR).
- Complaint to a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
